fox13 live- beauty on a budget segment, how to: holiday hair extensions.

today i wanted to to talk about super hot holiday hair and what hotter hair is there than some full bodied, long, sexy hair extensions?! last week i did my beauty on a budget segment and after wards i had some viewers ask me if i had put some hair extensions in because the following week i had shorter hair. i told them that i did have some extensions put in and they asked me all sorts of questions about them. i figured i would share my secret and that this week would be the perfect week to talk about extensions and not just any extensions, lock 'n long hair extensions. i have been rocking them for the last couple weeks. these extensions are ahhhmazing, they are diy and super easy to install, move up and remove. and they are a fraction of the price of normal hair extensions, that can range anywhere from $500-$800 and the hair is equally as luxurious as those high end brand of extensions. lock 'n long uses pure remy human hair, it's amazingly gorgeous hair.
i also work out a lot and what i love about these extensions is that they don't take forever to dry and they are not heavy or bulky. these extensions also curl easily and since there isn't a lot of little beads that get in the way and poke through you can throw your hair up easily into a ponytail with out seeing the extension. you have to give them a try!!
right now lock 'n long is giving all the fox13 viewers and my followers 50% off
with offer code:fox50
that is an incredible deal, you need to get some for this weekend and for all your new year holiday parties!!
they will make you feel gorgeous, i promise;)

fox13 live- beauty on a budget segment, how to: keep your lipstick on your face and not all over your significant other's face.

my gorgeous lip model/friend: jamie lynn crandall and our beautiful host: nineveh dinha

who doesn't love a holiday smooch under the mistletoe?

love the kiss but not the evidence.
keep your lipstick off his sweet cheeks, no guy likes having lipstick smeared all over his face or lips.
my husband hates it.

do your hostess a favor by not staining her wine glasses with your lipstick.

i swear we have all had this happen,
and i swear it happens when we are talking to someone who we are trying to impress. lol

now how do we avoid all of this?
just like the skin on our bodies, we need to exfoliate the skin on our lips. specially in the winter because it is so cold and dry outside. sugar lip polish is mahh fav, i use it at least 3 times a week and it keeps my lipstick from flaking because i don't have any dead skin cells hanging out. plus it smells like sugar, hence the name, so yummy:) and well worth $20 i promise , it lasts.

i am a huuuuuge fan of dior's universal lipliner so when i found it's twin, made by sephora, i could not pass it up. with a price point of $10 vs dior's $28 this is a must have!! this is the only lipliner you will ever need.
but it's white you say?!
it's actually clear and it goes on clear.
the waxy residue acts as a barrier and prevents any feathering or lipstick/ lipgloss bleed. it also fills in any fine lines or wrinkles you may have around your lips.
so so ahhhmazing. go get it, now!

color last lipstick by sephora. i love a good lip stain but i hate when that lip stain dries out your lips and flakes off before the start of your night.
well problem solved!!!
this lipstick stain is also ahhhhhmazeballs!!
i was skeptical when i heard about it but i tried it and it worked, it worked for well over 5 hrs on me. and the thing i love about this lipstick is, is that i don't need any kind of lip balm or chapstick before hand. it is that moisturing and it is that amazingly vibrant all day. price $13, not bad, not bad at all.

testing the lip colors, there are well over 15 vibrant colors to choose from. if you love red, they have a sexy one for you!! i actually wore it for the show. and if you love a fuchsia, they have a sassy one for you. i put that on jamie. but if you love a nude then they have a pretty one for you.. go check them out and test out a couple colors for you, for your next holiday party. just beware they don't wash off easily, at all.

that's were this incredible makeup remover comes in($15). i was able to remove the lipstick stains off my hand (and lips) easily with my mary freakin' kay oil-free eye makeup remover! i love love love this eye makeup remover, i use it to remove any kind of waterproof makeup and it always comes off with ease. no harsh chemicals or drying, in fact it moisturizes your skin and leaves it super super soft. if you are in utah you can buy this and any mary kay product from: barbara crandall 801.450.4829

hair/makeup and styling on mahh mega babe muse, jamie by me :)

now you can go crazy on the dance floor, make out under the mistletoe with your significant other, eat drink and be merry at all your holiday events with out smearing your lipstick all over your face:)

fox 13 live- beauty on a budget segment, how to: get'n glitz for the holidays

muchacha talks:
how to wear shimmer this holiday season.

no filter needed on beautiful, emily.
i did green shimmer on her eyes from the lash line up the under the brow bone and a soft pink shimmery lip. i added a little bit of the lipgloss to her cheeks to give it a nice dewey glow. very easy and very pretty.

when using shimmer:
have your basic face already set. your foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeliner and even a little taupe matte eyeshadow looks ahhsome.

pick 2-3 places on the face you will be highlighting with your shimmer products, such as the eyes, apples of the cheeks or lips.

if you are using glitter, focus on one area of the face. either your eyes or your lips.

never do more than those three areas or you will look like a disco ball ;)

beauty on a budget!
my favorites from my local drug store to achieve the shimmery holiday look.

l'oreal 24hr infallible eyeshadow $6.99: this is ahhmazing highly pigmented shimmery eyeshadow. i love it!!

elf blending brush $1: are you kidding me?! one dollar:) this little brush is amazing, it blends so well and the fibers this brush is made with don't shed. i could buy a whole bunch and use them on all my clients. that's how great they are!

ardell glamour eyelashes wispies $4.49: these are my go to falsies. i sport these and you should too!! they look real and very flirty with out looking like a giant spider on top of your lids. use duo eyelash glue in black to glue them on, best eyelash glue ever. it will last you a long time and it's like $5.

i didn't have time to talk about nail polish but i am looooving sally hansen's xtreme wear nail polish.
for $2.48 you can splurge on two and have some fun with your nails.

before you put on any gloss with shimmer/glitter make sure you hydrate them first, otherwise they will chap up real quick. i think i own every shade of maybelline's baby lips, that's how obsessed i am over these little $2.99 babies.

on air, i used nyc liquid lipshine lip gloss in honey on the hudson $1.97 on emily. it puts out a very pretty glossy shine without being super sticky. i was able to dab a little on the apples of her cheeks for a beautiful dewey finish.

another great bronzy alternative is revlon's colorburst lipgloss in bronze shimmer $7.59

if you rather not dab lipgloss on your cheeks for that nice dewey glow, opt for this fahhhbulous bronzer/blush set from physician's formula $10.99. such an awesome deal for two amazing products!! you can warm your complexion up and add shimmer, perfection!!

thank you to:
my gorgeeeeous model/friend and fellow blogger
and to our beautiful hostess with the mostest

here are some pictures to reference
for beautiful shimmer makeup placement ideas
and not so good makeup placement ideas :)

beautifully bronzed
i over cooked the turkey and my face, bronzed.
bejeweled bangin' eyes, this is glam and sultry!
i only had enough glitter to dip one side of my face in the bowl and so i chose my good eye.
well, i did have enough glitter to dip mahh whole face in my darn bowl.
i had so much glitter, i dipped it three times!

i'm so pretty my eyes naturally glitter purple glints of fahhbulousness.

glitter is iffy, but if done right sooooo good.
like, these drool worthy inspo pics.

now that you have the 411 on shimmer and glitter, try one of these looks this weekend or for your next holiday party!
